Students and Families

Your UK university journey, with expert guidance at every stage

Studying in the UK can be an extraordinary opportunity. But with hundreds of universities, thousands of courses, different entry requirements and an application system that may be unfamiliar to families in Brazil, knowing where to begin isn't always straightforward.

I help students and their families understand their options, make informed choices and navigate the journey to a UK university with confidence.

Independent UK university guidance, from someone who knows the system

Choosing a university is about much more than rankings.

The right choice depends on the student: what they want to study, how they learn, their academic profile, the kind of environment they will thrive in and what they hope to do afterwards.

As a British national based in Brazil, with extensive experience working across UK and international higher education, I bring together detailed knowledge of UK universities with an understanding of the educational backgrounds of students applying from Brazil.

That means I can help families look beyond the obvious names and understand the differences between institutions, courses, cities and routes into UK higher education.

How I can help

Understanding your options

We start with the student. Together, we look at academic interests, strengths, ambitions and preferences before exploring universities and courses that could genuinely suit them. The aim isn't simply to get into a university. It's to make a decision that still feels like the right one when the student arrives in the UK.

UCAS &
applications

The UK application system has its own terminology, deadlines and expectations. I guide students and families through UCAS and the wider application process, helping them understand what needs to happen, when it needs to happen and how to put together a strong, well-considered application.

Choosing universities and courses

There is an enormous amount of information available online. The difficult part is knowing what matters. I help students and parents understand university reputation, course content, academic strengths, entry requirements, location, student experience, career opportunities and the important differences between apparently similar options.

Offers and
final decisions

Receiving offers isn't necessarily the end of the decision-making process. I help families understand conditions, compare options and think carefully about which university represents the strongest academic and personal choice.

Understanding entry requirements

Students in Brazil can arrive at the UK application process with very different academic backgrounds. I can help families understand how UK universities view qualifications including the Brazilian National Curriculum, IB, A Levels and APs, as well as when a Foundation or other pathway programme might be appropriate.

Support for parents too

Sending a child overseas to university is a major family decision — academically, emotionally and financially.

Parents often have just as many questions as students. What does a particular university really offer?

Is this course worth the investment? How safe is the city? What happens after graduation?

What exactly does a conditional offer mean? What if the student doesn't achieve the required grades?

My role is to give families an experienced, independent person they can speak to throughout the process.

A significant decision deserves good information

A UK university education represents a substantial investment.

My role isn't to push students towards a particular university. It's to make sure that when a family makes that investment, they are doing so with a clear understanding of their options and confidence in the decision they have made.
